This guide is intended to give you the information you need to submit your paper to the ISC International Journal of Information Security (ISeCure) and to present it in accordance with our requirements.
Manuscript Presentation
Title:
The title should be concise and short enough but informative. It should not begin with words such as "novel", or "new".
Abstract:
This should be informative and suitable for determining relevant reviewers. It should indicate the general scope and also state the main results obtained, methods used, the value of the work and the conclusions drawn. No figure numbers, table numbers, references or displayed mathematical expressions should be included. It also should not exceed 250 words.
Template:
The template is meant to aid you in preparing a draft of your manuscript for peer-review as well as to prepare final publication materials that will closely translate into the final publication format. This does not mean that the published article will appear in this format. The published article will appear as formatted by ISeCure publication staff. You can find our preliminary template here.
Length of Manuscript:
There is no rigid limit on the length of papers. Your paper should be just long enough to present the background of the subject, your purpose, the details of your research, your results, and your conclusions.
Language, Spelling, and Grammar:
All papers must be written in English. If English is not your first language, you should ask an English-speaking colleague to proofread your paper. Papers that fail to meet basic standards of literacy are likely to be declined in Prescreening Process.
Ethical and Legal Issues
Plagiarism, fabrication, and falsification are unacceptable. Authors are responsible for acknowledging sources appropriately. If any material submitted to ISeCure Journal requires prior consent or permission, the submitting authors are responsible for obtaining it.
Concurrent/Duplicate Submission
Manuscripts submitted to ISecure journal must represent original material. Papers are accepted for review with the understanding that the same work has been neither submitted to, nor published in, another journal or conference. If it is determined that a paper has already appeared in anything more than a conference proceeding, or appears in or will appear in any other publication before the editorial process at ISeCure is completed, the paper will be automatically rejected.
Papers previously published in conference proceedings, digests, preprints, or records are eligible for consideration provided that the papers have undergone substantial revision. In this case, we recommend the authors to inform us at the time of submission (in cover letter or distinct letter).
Prescreening Process
Each manuscript submitted to ISeCure journal, first undergoes an initial prescreening by Editor-in-Chief in order to determine its merits for publication. Papers that meet our standards for publication and relevance to the research topics of ISeCure journal are then placed into a Peer Review Process. Those that do not meet these standards are eliminated from consideration.
Peer Review Process
As a peer review is the key factor in ensuring high quality articles based on an objective and balanced evaluation, if a submission passes the Prescreening Process it must then undergo a peer review. The Editorial Board selects three expert reviewers to evaluate regular paper submissions.
For additional information on the review process, refer to Review Process. ISeCure staff makes a concerted effort to keep the review process up to six months.
Decision Process
The Editorial Board of ISeCure journal is responsible for making the final decision whether to publish a manuscript. After carefully reviewing all reviewers' comments and authors' responses and revisions, the Editorial Board makes a decision based on the best judgment of its members. The decision might be one of the Accept, Reject, or Accept with Major Review.
Online Manuscript Submission Procedures
ISeCure journal accepts only online manuscript submissions. Please note that your manuscript must not be under consideration for any other publication while it is being considered by ISeCure journal. For online submission, you need to register in the ISecure Editorial System. If you registered before, please DO NOT register again. If you have forgotten your password, you can receive a new password by clicking on "Forgot Your Password?".
After completing the registration process and receiving your password, you must log in to the ISeCure Editorial System to submit your new manuscripts or check the status of your submitted manuscripts.
For new manuscript submission to ISeCure journal the following steps must be taken. If you have any question or encounter a problem during the manuscript submission, feel free to contact us (info[AT]isecure-journal[DOT]org).
1- Select "Submit New Manuscript" from the menu.
2- Enter the title of your manuscript. Note that the title should not begin with words such as "novel", or "new".
3- Enter the authors of the manuscript by clicking on "Add New Author". Authors must be entered in the sequence appeared in the manuscript. Author(s) name, affiliation, and email address are required fields. Note that the author who is loginned to the system is supposed to be a corresponding author.
4- Enter the abstract of your manuscript. The abstract should not exceed 250 words.
5- Enter the keywords of your manuscript. The keywords must be separated by semicolons and they should be between three to six.
6- Select the categories in which your manuscript can be located. You can select more than one category for you manuscript.
7- Attach the files related to your manuscript, including the manuscript itself, figures, cover letter (if you have), and supplementary materials (if you have). Note that the first file which you determine as a manuscript is the main file and it must be in PDF format. The figure files must have acceptable quality.
8- After completing all previous steps, you will see the Final Confirmation page. Please read information related to your new submission carefully, and if all information is correct, confirm it.
When you have completed the above steps, you will receive an email confirming your new manuscript submission to ISeCure journal as well as your manuscript ID. Please refer to your manuscript ID whenever you want to contact us.
Submitting Final Publication Materials
When your manuscript is accepted for publication, you will be sent a detailed guide to help you meet the final submission requirements. The guide describes acceptable text editors and specifies style and formatting requirements. Please consult this guide carefully to ensure proper submission format.
Copyright Information
The copyright form should be printed out, reviewed, and signed and dated (by hand) by all authors after the acceptance of a manuscript. Note that it is not acceptable that the corresponding author sign on behalf of all authors. The completed copyright forms should be emailed, posted or faxed to ISeCure journal office (address given on the form).
